• What’s the plot for Ashfall?

  Ash Naranjo lives in a world scarred by global warming, the ignited volcanic Ring-of-Fire, mysterious and disruptive energy fields, and warring enclaves fighting over resources and ideologies. The child of a prominent diplomat and researcher, Ash struggles from birth with severe disabilities that set him apart. When his mother uses outlawed technology in an attempt to better his life, events are set in motion that will change the world.

• How did the game concept/idea come to formation?

  Ashfall is the brainchild of John Garvin, creator of Days Gone and Syphon Filter. He spent over a year brainstorming different environments, settings, and characters. Once he knew the direction and set a solid foundation, he pitched the idea to old colleague Michael Mumbauer. Both Liithos and Ashfall were born.
  

• Who are the lead characters? Who are the antagonists?

  Ash Naranjo was born without arms into a world where infanticide was the common solution to mutated and disfigured babies. To help him survive, his mother gave him outlawed technology and helped him learn to use it.

• When is the game released?

  We don't have a specific ship date yet, but what makes Ashfall unique is that we will be bringing the fans along for the ride as we shape this game. We believe the power of Web3 is the community. We want to celebrate the community from the start and reward them by bringing them on this journey with us as we build the masterpiece, Ashfall.
  

• What platforms will your game be available on?

  We want to be on all platforms. We are not tied to a specific platform - our goal is to be where the players are.

• Is this a AAA game?

  Yes, this is a big budget, premium gaming experience, coming to multiple platforms.
  

• Why did you decide to build a company and game with digital collectibles and Web3 technology?

  Transmedia and the power of connected worlds has been a passion of the founders at Liithos for a long time. Web3 has a lot of potential that hasn’t been tapped into yet. Liithos sees Web3 technology as a railway and the main station is video games. The other rail stations all lead to the main one, and the train delivers precious cargo (Digital Collectibles) to gamers. It’s a way to have deeper and more engaging experiences than ever before. We want to reward gamers for doing stuff they already love doing, and create a path from those areas they love back to the thing they love the most, gaming.
  

• How does the Hedera differ from the others? What benefits does it provide?

  Hedera is the most used, sustainable, enterprise-grade public ledger for the decentralized economy. The Hedera network offers stable governance with no forking, low and predictable transaction fees, fairness, built-in compliance, real-time settlement, and sustainable energy consumption - all of which are driving massive adoption.

  We were very particular about who we wanted to make Ashfall with. We believe in sustainable ecosystems and want a healthy planet, but also love innovation. Hedera allows for both. We can innovate but not at the expense of our planet. This is why Liithos chose Hedera to make our games with. They were the only choice for us.
